Partner Biographies
P. Kent Hawryluk, Partner
Mr. Hawryluk is Co-Founder and Vice President, Business Development & Finance of Marcadia Biotech, a biotech company developing novel therapeutics for diabetes and obesity. He has represented Twilight Venture Partners in several key investments including Griffin Analytical Technologies, which was acquired by ICx Technologies in 2005. He has also advised early-stage companies on financing and business strategy as President of Tall Ship Capital Company.
Previously, he was Founding General Partner of JEGI Capital LCC, an IT venture capital fund co-sponsored by GE Capital that made seven early-stage investments. Mr. Hawryluk also served as Chief Executive Officer of ExactOne, a software company. Mr. Hawryluk was formerly Managing Director of The Jordan, Edmiston Group, a leading communications investment banking boutique, where he started a successful internet/new media practice and was involved in over twenty transactions.
Prior to joining Jordan Edmiston, Mr. Hawryluk had a distinguished career at Dow Jones, where he was responsible for the international launch of WSJ.com and other electronic media properties. He was the Founding Publisher of The Prague Post, an English-language newspaper. Mr. Hawryluk is a trustee of the Indianapolis Museum of Art.
Mr. Hawryluk earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University and Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University).
